The Best Pancakes I’ve Had in Forever

Recently I discovered a delicious new breakfast option and I just had to tell you all about it. If you’re looking for something yummy to get your day started that is easy to make, will keep you feeling full and is (surprisingly) healthy, look no further than Kodiak Power Cakes! My family introduced me to this brand and I just LOVE the pancakes that you can whip up from this mix. They are very simple to make, the instructions dictate mixing a 1 to 1 ratio of powder to water or milk for the batter (1/2 cup mix, 1/2 cup milk, for example). I use milk and also like thin pancakes so I add a bit more than what is recommended.

Once the batter is mixed, fry them up just like you would any other pancake! I melt butter on medium high heat and actually like them slightly burnt and a bit on the crispy side :D. The Kodiak mix can be used to make pancakes, but you can also make waffles, quiche, biscuits, muffins or a number of other things (check out other recipes by clicking here).

Once the pancakes are done, the final touch is drizzling them with syrup. It should be noted, however, that adding this bit of sweetness does affect the healthiness aspect (Oh well!). At least you can feel good about the 14 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber no matter what you add on top (butter, syrup, peanut butter, anyone?). Whatever you’re fueling up for – whether it be a full work day, chasing kids, morning workout…these pancakes have the ingredients to keep you going. Plus, did I mention they taste delicious?? If you’re a pancake fan, you gotta give these Power Cakes a try! For more nutrition facts, check out the info from the brand’s website below:

  1. I love these pancakes! We actually have the pumpkin ones in our pantry right now. So easy to make! And I love Costco’s maple syrup! Such a great deal! Great review!

  2. Hmm, I usually make mine from scratch, but I’ll have to check these out; love anything that is whole grain! I saw your link today at The Blog Boss Tribe

  3. Um, say what? These sound too good to be true! I can’t remember the last time I had a ‘proper’ pancake because I’m on a health kick (like, always). I think I’d be more than okay with eating these though 😉 I haven’t seen them in supermarkets in New Zealand, but I’m sure I can come up with a homemade version.

  4. I love a good pancake and these look delicious. I’m way to lazy to make mine from scratch so will definitely be checking this mixture out.

  5. THIS GIRL LOVES PANCAKES SOOOoOOOOOOO much! Ugh! SO FLUFFY and golden and just <3 THESE LOOK AMAZING! I should get that mix and make my husband some. He loves pancakes too – a surprise of pancakes would be amazing!

  6. My son likes to eat pancakes all the time. This would be awesome for him to have since I can’t seem to get him to eat a lot of foods that would be good for him. Thank you for writing about this.
